Abstract
Background and objectives: The aim of the study was to correlate head posture with balance in patients with non-specific neck pain. Method: This was a cross-sectional study and 76 subjects of age 18 to 35 with non-specific neck pain were included after screening for inclusion and exclusion criteria. The subjects were asked to rate neck pain severity and their head posture, static and dynamic balance was assessed. Result: Results demonstrated that there was no correlation between CVA and sway velocity in firm surface-eyes open (r = −0.12) and eyes closed (r = 0.005) or CVA and sway velocity in foam surface-eyes open (r = -0.05) and eyes closed (r = 0.02). Conclusion: The present study concludes that there is no relationship between head posture and static and dynamic balance in patients with non-specific neck pain.
